As a lifelong resident of the area, Corrine was born in Lyons, N.Y., on October 18, 1936, a daughter of the late Carl and Carolyn Tellier Mierke. She served the Village of Lyons for 26 years and later was elected Mayor of Lyons in 2005, for two terms. She was very involved in the New York State Conference of Mayors.
